Behind The Scenes at New Album Shoot
Posted Apr 15, 2015 by itzhakperlmanHere’s a behind-the-scenes look at pianist Emanuel Ax and violinist Itzhak Perlman’s photo shoot with New York photographer, Shervin Lainez for their upcoming Fauré/Strauss album scheduled for release on Friday, August 28, 2015.
“It is always a special experience to make music with good friends,” says Itzhak Perlman.
Lainez is known for capturing musicians’ personalities through colors and angles, postures and spacing. His portfolio boasts musicians from different backgrounds and genres (Regina Spektor, Amanda Palmer, Conor Oberst, Tegan and Sara, and Chromeo, to name a few). His array of work has its own unique signature, striding across major magazine and album covers with the identifying “Shervin” characteristics.
The two celebrated masters of the concert stage, Mr. Ax and Mr. Perlman will soon be performing together in major cities across the country this Fall. The new upcoming album marks their second recording collaboration. The pair first collaborated with multiple Grammy Award-winning cellist, Yo-Yo Ma on the Mendelssohn Piano Trios for Sony Masterworks in 2009.
