Did you know that Itzhak Perlman completed his early violin studies in Tel Aviv then came to New York City, where he was propelled to national recognition with an appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1958 at the age of thirteen?
Following study at the Juilliard School, he won the Leventritt Competition in 1964, which led to a worldwide career. In 1998, he and his wife, Toby, cofounded The Perlman Music Program, which offers musical training to young string players.
